Fire Brigade Membership
We require our members to be 18 years of age or over, physically fit, and must live within our response zone of Hurricane Point and the Monterey/San Luis Obispo County line. Within the first year we require new members to take a volunteer firefighter class, and classes in CPR, HazMat FRO, ICS 100 & 200 (Incident Command System), and at a minimum a Title 22 medical class. You may join as a medical responder only, in which case you will need at a minimum a first responder class, HazMat and ICS.
To be able to participate on our rescue team we require members to be a firefighter and first responder.
We hold trainings four different times a month and require a probationary member to attend at a minimum one training a month during the probationary period of one year.

Fire Brigade Auxiliary Membership
We are currently in the process of forming an auxiliary. This will allow people other than the current operational members to be able to help at some of the many non-emergency and community functions for which the Fire Brigade provides support and volunteers. Auxiliary volunteers will help in many ways including logistics and staffing of major emergencies as well as our annual Firefighters' Muster, community BBQs, and traffic control for community events. Because the Brigade funding is based on grants and donations, the Auxiliary is of major importance in the on-going fundraising efforts.
If you are interested in becoming an Auxiliary member please call the Brigade at 831-667-2113.
