Timber and Plaskett Fire Overview
The Timber Fire began near Timber Top Camp on August 8, 2026.
The Plaskett Fire began in the south fork of Willow Creek on August 26, 2026.
Both fires are currently under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Forest Service, with support from Big Sur Fire, CAL FIRE, and many other responding agencies.
As with most wildfires, the Incident Command System and agency assignments may evolve as the incident develops.
